WELCOME

Welcome to our unique community and thank you for being here.

As the science behind obesity and the impact on treatment and care delivery rapidly evolve, sharing ideas and making connections is essential to moving innovation forward.

Life sciences and healthcare are serious business, quite literally lives depend on the work done by people like you every day. At the same time, negativity infuses so much of our world and our daily lives, including work we're passionate about.

We founded this community to provide a forum for sharing ideas, making new connections, spreading positivity, and ultimately, infusing more joy and empathy into the work we love.

While the Life Sciences Obesity Collaborative is focused on the obesity treatment landscape, this group is part of a broader Life Sciences and Healthcare Collaborative, which aims to bring specialized and passionate professionals together through positive collaboration and curated networking opportunities across different areas.

Founder

Renee Hurley

Thank you for making it this far in learning about the community. My name is Renee Hurley. I have been in the Life Sciences and Healthcare industries for more than 20 years, mostly in marketing and communications capacities building brands, hosting conferences and events, and championing thought leadership and innovation.

I am a wife, a mother, and a patient. As a two-time cancer survivor, among many other health ailments, I know just how important innovations in treatments and quality of care really matter to each and every one of us. I am beyond grateful for the work researchers and clinicians do every day.

When not working, you can find me mostly in a hockey rink or on the soccer sidelines cheering on my son. Traveling and exploring new places, especially out in nature, revitalizes and gives me peace like almost nothing else.

I can't wait to meet you and learn about what drives you to be better at what you do both professionally and personally.
